12 Feb Murphy Hospitality Group Expands in Halifax
(Charlottetown, PE) Murphy Hospitality Group is pleased to announce the opening of a new restaurant, Pickford & Black Fresh Seafood & Oyster Bar and the relocation of Gahan House Harbourfront in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Pickford & Black Fresh Seafood & Oyster Bar will operate at 1869 Upper Water Street (the original location of Gahan House Harbourfront) with plans to be open for April 2019. Gahan House Harbourfront will be closed to transform to Pickford & Black effective March 18th, 2019. Pickford & Black will highlight local seafood, local craft beer and incredible views of the Halifax Waterfront from its waterfront patio.
Gahan House Harbourfront, currently located at 1869 Upper Water Street within the Historic Properties is moving and changing its name to Gahan Nova Centre. Construction has begun with plans to be for Gahan Nova Centre to open in May 2019 at 1615 Grafton Street. Gahan House Nova Centre will be an exciting new piece of the 1,000,000 square foot, newly constructed Nova Centre.

We’re very excited to do more with the space at the Historic Properties- Pickford & Black is a new brand for us, working with Revolve Branding & Marketing to create the restaurant’s look and feel has been a great experience. As well, moving the Gahan House into the Nova Centre is exciting; to be in a brand-new space, to have our brewpub up and running and to be showcasing local cuisine to conference goers and locals is thrilling.”
