10 Oct Ian Cheverie of The Great George Hotel: Canadian Tourism Awards Finalist for Employee of the Year
Charlottetown, PE – Murphy Hospitality Group (MHG) from Prince Edward Island is pleased to congratulate one of their own, Ian Cheverie, Guest Experience Manager & Concierge of The Great George Hotel, on becoming a Finalist in the Canadian Tourism Awards for Tourism Employee of the Year.
The Canadian Tourism Awards are presented by the Tourism Industry Association of Canada and the winners will be awarded in the next few months. The Tourism Association of Canada (TIAC) has over 400 members and thousands of affiliate members who had the opportunity to submit for these awards. Ian is one of three individuals up for this particular award.
Ian has been recognized by his team as an asset to the success of The Great George over the past number of years and is now recognized as one of the best hospitality employees in Canada. Megan Hunt, General Manager of The Great George is thrilled with this nomination. “Ian goes above and beyond to wow our guests, creating memorable experiences that inspire them to return year after year. His passion for our hotel, our industry, and our beautiful Island is evident in his delivery of genuine Island hospitality.”
Receiving his Les Clefs d’Or (golden keys) in December and winning many internal company awards from Murphy Hospitality Group, Ian is truly one of the best in the tourism and hospitality industry.
